General education...... wow so my first thought was that i would love this topic because I have truly felt that some of the classes have been so pointless for the field I going into, so no offence Trevor, but really were does this writing fit into what I need to learn to be a Dental Hygienist? I used to like math, but now that I have to take it again and feel like I am so far behind everyone else I don 't like it at all. Trevor is a wonderful teacher and I like him, if another teacher taught the class I would feel the same way, I think having the teacher we have is the only thing that makes having to take this class bearable. I think its important to learn and learn how to learn and sound educated, but really why some of these classes are important I don't know. But really I am just set on doing whatever it takes to do what I need to do to make this and any other class hard or not the funnest class to take doable. I like to focus more on making everything I do a positive experience. So no I don't think this is a class I need to take to make it in the hygiene world but I will make it what I need it to be to make it great. I don't like to argue, I believe I have my opinion and everyone else has theirs and we are all entitled to what we believe and what we think. Not everyone is going to be happy all the time about everything they have to do, but we make each situation what we want it to be and that is what I think it is to live in a free world with free agency. So general education, i can see some of these gen eds helpful, well I learn something from each class anyway so i learn new things and I think that is important, but some really don't pertain to my field. Anatomy and some of those are , however english and math I personally could live without, but i have definetly learned new things and will continue to learn new things because I will have a positive attitude about what I need to do to succeed.
